Cameron has spent the better part of ten years helping people find their voice through reading and writing — first in classrooms - then in training centres, lecture halls, and through holiday programs.
He believes that every student has their own destiny, ideas and personality. Perhaps they just need some assistance in sliding their boat down the ramp. Literature, in this case, is metaphorically the boat. The teacher is applying a scant bit of forward motion.
In 2018 Cameron ran a short story writing group in Wellington, New Zealand. During the COVID-years he lived and worked in Beijing China, teaching English literature at universities and top public highschools. He is currently pursuing a PhD degree in Education to further evaluate and innovate the materials used in his classes.
